Field Development Planning
We take an integrated approach to the technical and economic issues involved in generating options for field development, from reservoir modelling to the production and export system - including risk and environmental impact assessments and potential future liabilities associated with selected method. We provide conceptual well design for the evaluation of different options with views to optimise total cost of ownership and life cycle costs.
Integrated Reservoir Studies
We carry out static and dynamic studies of reservoirs which includes reserves estimation, determination, and validation; and reservoir simulations for history matching, production forecast and uncertainties evaluations.
Flow Assurance
Abalt’s engineers evaluate the entire production and injection system, including reservoir, wells, flowlines, processing facilities and export equipment in order to assure optimum flow for the life of the field. Major considerations include physico-chemical aspects of flow problems like hydrates, organic deposits, scale deposits and rheology, gels, and emulsions; and also problems with the multiphase transport of fluids like hydrodynamics and productivity, thermal management, erosion-corrosion, and well metering and monitoring. Flow assurance is a recurrent issue on the performance of mature fields, heavy-oil, and subsea developments.
Environmental Impact Assessment
We generate detailed environmental assessments, leading to comprehensive environmental statements. Activities can then be conducted to comply with all applicable legislative requirements, whilst achieving customers’ goals and expectations.
