Integration results in quick remedial action and discreet solution of production problems.
A Middle East National Oil Company (NOC) encountered major well integrity problems of different severity in 143 wells of one of its main assets.
Initially, most problems were seen to be corrosion related and a profound evaluation was required, however some time had past trying to solve the problem in-house before they decided to look for a discreet, specialist consulting firm for further evaluating the problems and generating the appropriate solutions.
The NOC expressed its wish for treating the problem quick and discreet.
Time was critical, and an evaluation campaign had to be designed to acquire necessary information for diagnosis, and categorisation of wells; recommended activities had to be generated on the go. Maximising utilisation of their internal and contracted resources was essential to achieve results as expected.
Efficiently integrating our specialists’ team and our knowledge base with their people added significant value to successfully recover 60% of wells and bring production back to 83% of previous level in less than 5 months.
